Directories ask for roughly the same things. Prepare them once and you can move through dozens of submissions without stopping.
Brand assets
- Logo — square, at least 512×512, transparent PNG.
- Screenshots — 2–3 clean shots of your product at 16:10.
- Favicon — optional, but many directories pull it automatically.
- Brand colour — hex value, used for accents on listing pages.
Copy blocks
Write these to length once, then paste:
- Tagline — under 10 words.
- Short description — 50–80 characters.
- Long description — 80–120 words, plain language, no hype adjectives.
- Founder / team bio — 1–2 sentences.
- Pricing line — "Free", "Free trial", or "From $X/month".
Keep every block factual and specific. "AI workspace that drafts and reviews contracts" beats "revolutionary AI platform transforming productivity".
Links and accounts
- A canonical URL (pick www or non-www and stick to it).
- A public contact email (not a personal address).
- Social profiles — X, LinkedIn, GitHub — set up and non-empty.
- An account for platforms that require login; use a shared password manager.
Before you hit submit
- Confirm the listing category actually fits your product.
- Re-read the description for typos.
- Check the submission URL (some platforms hide it behind a menu).
- Note the submission date so you can follow up.
After you submit
Submissions are not instant. Approvals commonly take 3–14 days, and some platforms never notify you. Check your listings weekly and record the status so you never submit the same platform twice — that is exactly what our submission campaigns track for you.
